Competitors Handbook:
Here is the link to the Competitors Handbook.
Entry Fees:
Don’t forget there is a $30 entry fee per division in addition to the $50 membership fee. You can pay this fee at the venue. Debit cards or credit cards are preferred, but we will accept cash if that’s best for you. Unfortunately, this fee is not listed on the website due to the recent hack we experienced.
A Note to Bodybuilders:
If you are a bodybuilder, at your earliest convenience, please email me at contact@iabp.org and let me know what your expected weight class will be. We understand this may change before the competition, but I need to get an idea of how many trophies we need to have on hand about three weeks prior to the competition.
Bodybuilding Weight Classes:
Lightweight: up to and including 145 lbs
Middleweight: Over 145 and up to and including 165 lbs
Heavyweight: over 165 lbs
New Gender Divisions:
IATBP represents the future of transgender bodybuilding and powerlifting. We have created new competition and meet divisions to include non-binary and gender-nonconforming groups, as well as an open division for those who don’t wish to compete according to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) status.
These new divisions, based on gender identity and gender expression, have been crafted to create worldwide, groundbreaking changes in both bodybuilding and powerlifting. Competitors can self-select based on their gender expression and HRT status if desired. This inclusiveness is a feature that can’t be found at any other bodybuilding or powerlifting event around the globe.
We will still be organizing these new divisions by weight class.
Bikini division is not listed here, but have no fear, we are offering that division this year as usual. The Competitors Handbook outlines the rules and regulations for Bikini division.

We understand that these divisions are extremely untraditional and lead to numerous categories in which people can potentially compete. Our hope is that in expanding/varying the options for competitors (that are also more affirming), we will have more people actually register and come compete – people who before might not have found a place in our competitions.
Explanations, justification, and FAQ on our gender divisions can be found at this link.
T-Shirts:
I will be mailing the remaining t-shirts to competitors early next week.
In closing, please don’t hesitate to contact me at contact@iabp.org if you have any questions or concerns.
Good luck with your training, and I look forward to meeting y’all October 2nd in Atlanta!
In gratitude and service,
Bucky.
